Do people in general bring their family to these visits?

For my revisits, the schools are fairly explicit about whether guests or family members can be accommodated at events, dinners, etc.

Still, if someone wants to travel with you, hang out, kick the tires of the area around the school, etc., while you are at official events, that sounds OK to me.
