Good luck guys/gals. Keep your chin up and prepare for a long wait, most derm interviews go out sometime after the deans letter on Nov 1. The stress well suck arse as you see your classmate in other fields get tons of interviews before the deans letter goes out. Don't worry to much I remember some interview offers even went out after thanksgiving. I don't know why derm does this, I just think it is because they can.

Per NRMP, among US Seniors applying in dermatology:
Those who matched in 2007 ranked 8 programs on average.
Those who did not match ranked 3 programs.

I too am applying this year in Derm and was extremely grateful for Missbonnie's post! I applied to 30 Derm programs (so few because I have a family that I can't just pick up and move anywhere in the country) and 10 prelims. I figured that I had to start really rethinking my career when I had a bunch of prelim interviews and 0 derm interviews. But since nobody hears anything for another couple of weeks, I will try to quiet my compulsive mind. I will also post my interviews if/when they start coming in.
70-ish programs, 30-ish prelims, but I'm couples matching.
Any idea on how to update programs with new information? I sent my app out a little too early, maybe, since a lot of my submitted papers have become accepted papers.

Hey everyone, good to see that there is an alive forum for this years Dermatology applicants. After following the Dermboard for two years or so, I, like many of you, was saddened to see it fade away after being such an excellent resource for so many years (and during my year of applying as well 🙁🙁).
I applied to quite a few Derm programs (in the upper 80's I think), and roughly 7 prelims. I don't have a home Derm program, so without that in my corner I applied as broadly as possible, to see what kind of interviews I would get.

I've decided to move over to sdn.
My computer got a virus and my norton antivirus software makes a fuss ("this site has a recorded virus attack") whenever I visit dermboard. It also sucks because people post there like once a week.

I applied to over 60 programs and haven't heard anything yet. The other day I got this teaser from medical college of georgia that said they were reviewing my application.
Interesting... I didn't get this teaser. Perhaps this means you beat a filter and are getting reviewed.

Yeah, it was a double teaser. After the first teaser, I was like, "that's ok, I'm sure the next one will be something good". The second one was an identical message.
