RIC externship 2009

It looks like they have moved the application time frame up quite a bit from previous years (deadline is now January 9th). I know that quite a few people on this board have raved about this program. Does anybody know how many applicants they typically accept?

They selected 10 students two summers ago.

I actually ran into one of my fellow externs today on the interview trail. It looks like there are at least 3 of us going into PM&R.

Someone from my school just got her acceptance last night and I was told by Diane Ross letters were going out today. Not sure what that means for us since I didnt get anything either

fellow applicant here as well! i haven't heard anything back either, just crickets. how are we supposed to be notified?

They already made their decisions. I called and was placed on the "alternate" list. I think its pretty unprofessional that they are not informing people that did not get accepted or even people placed on the alternate list. I suggest calling if you want to find out where you stand.

I asked - they tell me that notices were sent out to those who were accepted and those who were not. There was an alternate list and those who did not get contacted by RIC were probably on that list awaiting confirmation from those accepted.
