Stupid question No. 503:

Is it true that you must have inherent 3-D perceptual ability to become a successful dentist? Or can you learn by repetition?
In other words, can a non-sculptor learn to sculpt through practice?

loo, you don't needs genes to be abele to manipulate 3D objects. if you can see and use your hands like a normal person, then you only need 2 things: motivation and practice.

During one of my interviews an adcom member told us that their school (Baylor) did not even consider the PAT score for admission criteria because in their experience, there was no direct correlation between PAT scores and the clinical capabilities of their students. However, you still do want to fare well on each portion of the DAT as they all affect your overall score which is very important.

Hey Guys...Thanks! I was recently working on waxing up models and they looked like something out of a Cubist painting! My dentist tells me I have the two most important skills to succeed in dentistry: patience and persistence. Hopefully, I will do well on the DAT and apply for the 2004 cycle.
