So this is kind of delayed.... actually, it is a lot delayed (like, 9 years delayed). I discovered today that one of our former forum members, sprinkle0420, passed away in 2013. She was a prolific poster in her short time on the forums, but had not logged on since 2010. I had messaged her separately for a while off-forum talking about pharmacy school and residency/work plans, but quickly lost touch as she wrapped up school and I started residency. I was cleaning up old messages and thought to reach out, see if she had achieved any of her plans. Perhaps having more kids, moving into a home, maybe a couple of fun vacations since graduating? She was a Bay Area native looking to put down roots, and I had hoped those roots would be a tree of sorts by now.

None of this was meant to be. She was a proud Latina, a first generation college student, and after completing her Molecular and Cell Biology degree at Berkeley, she took some time off before enrolling in pharmacy school at Touro University California in 2009. She gave birth to her son while on clinical rotations, but still managed to graduate on time in June 2013. She would be gone 6 weeks later.

Rest in peace, Andricia Ramirez (11/5/1981-7/27/2013).

Very sad. Life is short. Now that I'm in my 30s I've seen family, coworkers, friends, former classmates, children, parents and grandparents pass away over the years. It really puts things into perspective. I've stopped caring about money and try to value my time with family and friends now.

Damn...seems like alot of pharmacists are passing way too soon these days. Makes me really think about the bigger picture

I know one RPH from Albertsons taken by Covid, one RPH and one Tech from WM - Car accidents.

Tragic loss. Child left without a mother. Heartbreaking…..
Does put things into perspective. Although I try not to sweat the little stuff, I still do. I need to try harder…

She passed away sometime while she was asleep, was discovered unresponsive in the morning, cause never publicly released.
