RMED at Upstate

to Upstate students - have any of you done or do any of you know people who have done RMED? I'm just curious to know since I thought it was a nice idea.

Is it really for people only interested in primary care?

I don't go to Upstate, but a friend from college does, and she was part of the rural medicine program and really loved it. I think they also paid for housing while she was doing the rural part and so she saved a lot of money. She was planning to go into FP since the beginning so I'm not quite sure if it's just for people interested in primary care or not.
