I am a RN in New York. Can I practice in Connecticut or if I need to be RN registered in CT, what are the requirements?

If I were you, I wouldn't rely on a forum for the information. I would check with the CT departement of professional regulations! L.

No you cannot. You're going to need to get a CT license.

Here is a list of compact states that allow nurses from one state to practice in another without having to get an additional license.

I visited the Board of Nursing in Connecticut website, but it is really not clear about the requirement, and that was why I asked the question hoping someone had done it before.

You can check out the national board of nursing to find out what are the compact states. If NY is not a compact state or CT isn't a compact state you will have to get another liscense.

The link I posted gives you all of the states that have compact agreements. CT and NY do not, so you will need to get another license.
