Anyone else notice that this year First Aid give Robbins Qbook a B?

Last year they gave them an A-. I find it one of the best path sources out there in regards to Q's. Kind of odd that they gave it such low ratings.

Can someone comment on the difficulty of this book in regard to real USMLE exam?

I haven't written step1 yet, but I've done lots of questions from this book. Most of the sections are pretty reasonable, and you can work of the answer, except for the micro questions. I thought they were brutal. but then again, maybe I just suck at micro.

I thought Robbin's question book is very good. It really makes think! But as far as how close it is to the real USMLE, I'm not sure. Maybe those who have taken step 1 can help us.

Robbins Q book rocks...but only while concurrently taking path. It's picky enough for the detail you are expected to know for class exams, but probably a little too picky for the Step. It's definitely more picky than Qbank.

Disclaimer: I haven't sat for the step yet.

I felt Robbins Q Book was a bit on the easy side actually.
They had some picky questions (i.e. very detailed questions regarding a disease) but it wasn't so hard to exclude from the other answers.

It helps consolidate the chapters in Robbins but that's about it.
