Hello,
does anyone have the ISBN number for this book? I was looking for it and there are many variations available. I want to make sure I get the right one.

Thanks

I did every question in the book and found it to be simply outstanding, much better written than Qbank (question and answers).

Good luck

Hope that led to a good score, as that is my strategy as well.

Just have the neuro chapter left!

Thank you oldking! I really appreciate it 🙂

Did you find this useful for class by any chance?

I found this to be a GREAT resource for class and for Boards. The questions are more difficult than those on boards, so they are a good practice vehicle.

I know this is an extremely old thread and an old post, but I have been looking up the Self Assessment and Review and the library at my school as the 3rd edition which was published in 1990.

The newest version I can find online is the 4th edition which was published in 1995.

My question; is Pathologic Basis of Disease Self Assessment and Review still a good resource, and is the 3rd edition a "new" enough edition?

Don't know if this is what you're looking for but they just had a new edition of the Robbin's question book come out this summer:

http://www.amazon.com/Robbins-Cotra...=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1251493504&sr=8-8

While we are on the subject on Pathology, I hope no one would mind a question. I am a 2nd year student and our curriculum is problem based learning. Thus, we are self-learning Pathology along with other subjects.

When we assign chapters to read, I am reading Robbin's Path. But does anyone have any idea whether Robbins Basic Pathology is enough? In case you don't know, Robbins Basic Pathology is condensed version of Robbins Main text book. I also have their pocket book.

So, here is my strategy this year:
- Read Robbins Basic Pathology chapters once - This takes much less time than main textbook.
- Read Pocket book for review and also Rapid Review.
- Do Robbins Review Questions.

I am just not sure if I don't use Robbins main textbook, would I miss anything major for school exams and boards?

I apologize if this is an inappropriate question here.

Thanks!

I have both path basis of disease and the basic pathology text, and there is no huge difference. Each chapter is only cut down by ~10 pages and the extra stuff is basically nitty gritty detail...
