Has anyone been using Robbins Review for Path? (its the book full of questions, pics, and answer explantions)
I really like it except that it takes freaking forever to get through! I usually read the BRS and FA, and then do the corresponding Robbin's review chapter. I really want to learn path well and this seems to be working out except it takes too long. (i'm doing Q bank (only 20% through once) and goljan audio as well)
I'm 2.5 weeks out and still have to do GI, renal, Reprod, and endocrine Path/Phys. Plus go over Behav science, biostats, and cell molecular bio. and a final overall view. Phew! - now that I think about it, I'll probally need to push my test back 🙁 I've already studied for almost 3 weeks - I just must be really slow or something which is freaking me out. Does anyone else feel it just takes way longer to learn everything that you had scheduled? - I don't understand how people can only study for 3-4 weeks.
Anyway, has anyone had experience w/ this book - what do you think of it (especially those of you who've taken the Step 1 or even the NBME assessments? ) Do you feel it was a key in your success to learning path well?
Thanks in advance
