robbins review question book

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
I find the questions far more difficult than those found in my school's path exams. I rawk the school exams, usually scoring in the mid-90 percents, while I'm lucky to break 75% on the corresponding Robbins Review questions.

agree with doc, 78 % on average on qbook. how are the path questions on the step compared to these?

they are good questions BUT easier then step 1 Questions. However its a solid review for pathology but only if you have time. Otherwise usmle world and kaplan q bank are th best questions sources in my opinion..with Usmle world being most closely related to the actual questions to some extent. And no i am not an employee of UW before someone jumps at my throat for that!

Easier? I thought in the past other people have posted that Robbins Review was tougher. Not saying you are wrong, as everyone's perceptions and board experience is different. Anyone else want to offer an opinion?

The nbme path questions are like fun little curveballs. Robbins is just the same ****-you fastball down the line every pitch. After fifty questions of the same 48 year old female with SOB your mind starts playing tricks with you ("wait, didn't this same woman have something else a couple of questions ago? crap, guess one of these two answers will be wrong"). I've been at about 70-75% for the several systems chapters that I've done.

The Robbins review is a good adjunct source, you should use it, if you have enough time. The questions are moderately diffult, a bit repetitive, but a way to try out a different test source other than your main question bank
