I loved Rohen for anatomy lab. I wanted to get this book for a friend who will be starting med school. I had the 5th edition, but unfortunately, I sold it a while back. I see that there is now a 6th edition, which sells for $50 on Amazon vs $25 for the 5th edition.

Does anyone have an opinion about whether the newer edition is worth the extra $25? Clearly anatomy hasn't changed in the 4 years since I was an M1, and I remember the 5th edition being pretty solid.

thanks😀

u know what's even better? rohen's flash cards. i saw them in the bookstore for the first time in my life this week. never knew they existed.

As far as I know the human anatomy hasn't changed much in the last.....couple thousand of years or so. So, I would say that its not worth the extra money. Buy the old edition & use the money you save to buy them a Netter's or even better a Thieme illustrated atlas. Rohen + Thieme = Deadly Anatomy Duo

PS: the downside to Thieme is that there are many of them, you need them all for a complete atlas, and they are expensive! But worth it!

They just come out pretty recently.
for the OP, 5th edition will get the job done.

I thought this thread would be started by a pre-med, but by a resident? wow!
