Why do med schools do rolling admissions? Also, how does it affect us applicants? (Is it the earlier you apply the better?) Would I be significantly disadvantaged if I submit my application late June/first week July rather than early June?

1. Not everyone applies at the same ti.e. You can lose good applicants by having a short, open window.

It doesn't affect you. Only you affects you.

For MD admissions, you're fine until mid Sept.. Keep in mind a lot of staff are off in the summer and around Labor day.

For DO, you are fine until Nov.
