All: looking to rent a room in my house to medical students/interns/etc. doing short- to medium-length rotations in Atlanta.

I know it's sketchy renting from some poster on the internet, so here's my basic introduction: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=443462

If you're interested, PM me and I'll try to convince you that I'm not a freak.

Basic details--it's a 2/1 in East Atlanta Village. Despite our name, we're just about in the center of Atlanta. Home to some of the best burgers in America, and even the NY Times thinks we're cool. All the shopping you'll need is within ten minutes, and there's a dozen bars, restaurants, and boutiques within walking distance for your few hours a month off. All the shopping you'll need is close by also.

I'm less than a mile from two interstate access points, 15 minutes from Grady Memorial and Crawford Long, 20 minutes from Emory and the Atlanta VA, and about a half-hour from anything inside the Perimeter (our interstate loop).

After 01OCT, I'll be doing five-week rotations in south GA. Generally you'll have the place to yourself. I might be home some weekends, but mostly I'll just be there between rotations and on holidays. My parents are 45 minutes away and will be available for any housing issues, however.

The house has driveway parking, a fenced-yard (dogs and cats welcome, btw, long as they're house-broken), a kitchen with everything you'll need, towels and sheets, wireless internet. Can't think of anything you'll need except clothes, tolietries, and your laptop and books.

PM me if you're interested, know anyone who is, or have any suggestions on how I could find renters.

I'm renting a room in my 3br/3ba house in East Atlanta Village only open to professional students, preferably a med student. Here is some basic info about the house:

-quiet gated community
-home security system
-washer/dryer
-hardwood floors (downstairs)
-kitchen with island and dining area space
-living room w/ fireplace
-rear fenced backyard w/ grill
-non-smoking home
-no large pets (must be house trained)
-furnished room available

I'm an upcoming 2nd year medical student and Caribbean-American female who was born in Colorado, lived in Korea for 3 years, and studied abroad in Brazil for 2 months. In a nutshell, I'm cultured and open to people of all nationalities, religious backgrounds and sexuality. I'm also sociable yet considerate, studious and clean. I do have friends over but not on a weekly basis and they're very respectful of others. I'm looking for a roommate who is similarly quiet (but sociable), studious, approachable and clean. I would like someone who can view the house as their own and therefore respect the house and assist in cleaning it (e.g. sweeping, mopping, taking off lights, taking out trash...normal stuff. I basically don't want to play mom).

I'm a very fun person yet serious about my profession. I like to run, box/kickbox, lift weights, kayak, hang out with friends/family (coffee shops, beach, park, lounges), travel, recycle, work in the hospital. I'm not looking for a best-friend in my future roommate but rather a happy, respectable, not-too-clingy friendship. Please PM me if you're interested and/or have questions.
