Hi,
I am not at the Med Center, but my roommate works in a part of the Cancer communications division. I am moving out of our shared apartment as soon as I find a responsible single woman (<40 yrs old preferred) to replace me as roommate this February (2008) (or earlier if need be).
I am moving because I am getting married. My roommate is a GREAT roommate: she is nice, responsible, independent, and might get you liking running (I never thought I would - but I do now, sort of 🙂. She has her own tight schedule, so we do not hang out much, but have had a pleasant, stress-free time living together (1.5 years).
What: Second floor, shared 2 BR/2 BATH apartment with large balcony, pool view, W/D (full size), standard kitchen appliances (incl microwave, owned by other resident), large living room area, covered parking available, gated complex. A small convenience store is located within the complex.
Good-size room for rent features walk-in closet, private bathroom, built-in desk/vanity table with large mirror. The room is spacious enough for a queen-sized bed and a dresser and some smaller pieces. Currently, apartment has high-speed internet but no cable TV.
Where: Brompton Crt. Apartments, near Rice Village and across the street from the Braes Bayou running/biking trail. Within walking distance to two bus stops and a Randall's grocery store.
There is also a coach bus shuttle for $2 round trip to the Med center and surrounding areas that leaves from here.
Why & When: I am moving out of my shared apartment (getting married) between mid-Jan and early March 2008. Our lease ends Sept. 1st and I need to find a responsible single female to take over my half of the rent.
Rent (includes all utilities except electricity and internet): ~$635/mo. (rent alone is $615.00/mo.)
Rent + all utilities including electricity and internet: ~$720/mo.
