Has anybody heard about how root canal treatment can cause systemic health problems? Basically, it says that root canal therapy can?t sterilize the inside of the tooth and as a result, the trapped bacteria mutate and migrate to infect the heart, kidneys, eyes, stomach, and countless other body tissues. Is their any validity to this?

There is a book that is fairly recent that trots this theory out. The book is new but the theory is very old and I haven't seen any recent studies that got the same results. The book is sited by the anti-amalgam anti-fluoride forces.
