What's the difference? Is the attrition rate really as bad as they say they are at Ross? Which one would afford me better opportunities if I do reasonably well on the USMLEs?

Thanks.

Id do a search on it. There are some long posts about it.

Attrition rate is kind of funny at Ross. Yes its high, but its high because Ross will accept people who can't cut it. So its more of you work to keep yourself in, because they're not going to work to keep you in.

Ross doesn't fail people out, people fail themselves out here.

In the past that might have been different. But here if you pass with a 70 or higher and everyone else does too, then they wont fail anyone.

I've heard from so many people that it's better than before.

I am also choosing between Ross and SGU.......well, actually I have to get into SGU first since it seems they actually have a valid application process.

What MCAT should I aim for that will wash away all my sins for SGU 🙂

haha, i could ask you the same question. is say ask this question on ValueMD.com 'cause they probably know better!

Hi there!

I'm a 4th term student at SGU. I got in with a rather deplorable 22 on my MCAT, and around a 3.3 GPA.

They tend to take more into account than just your MCAT score (as I can attest to), which really is no indication of how you'll do in school (at least in my experience).

If you really are not able to do the work, you'll find out. Just don't think that if you scored low on the MCAT that you won't be able to attend.

Good Luck!

You should aim for a 30 and shoot for an American school... 🙂
