Where can you do clinicals and/or residency after Ross?

I live in Georgia and have family in Hawaii. These would be my first two choices. Do I get a choice? I am interested in FP, if this helps.

Ross is approved in all 50 states and an FP residency is not hard to get.

No clinical spots in hawaii or georgia currently. You would likely be able to do a few months in your 4th year in either state, as an elective. Usually the max is 3 months at an outside institution unless you are seriously connected at that hospital (like, your father is the chief of medicine, etc)

you certainly would be able to do an FP residency in either state, no problem, as long as you pass your boards. but don't count on doing any significant part of med school there.

hope that helps

Where should I expect to go, if I were to go this route? Is it strictly Miami?

Expect to spend the majorty of your time in the NYC/NJ area. You can see a whole list of the clinical choices on the school's website.

Ross has 58 clinical affiliations and are constantly adding more. In a couple of years they will have established a consortium of sites in MI.

When I worked at MSM IM, they screened OUT Ross graduates. Won't even look at them. And they have the same program director there now. Don't know about FM, though.

I am interested in the MSM place. Nothing came up in google.

I think he's talking about the Morehouse School of Medicine IM program in Georgia.

According to this scutwork review, most of the residents at Morehouse IM are FMG's so this indirectly contradicts what you said unless the PD only hates Ross for some reason.
