Rotations

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You start rotations after you complete your second year of medical school. You do them generally in the hospital or in outpatient settings with attendings. They are usually not on campus, but many programs have big teaching hospitals within a block or two of the medical school, and some do share a campus with the hospital. It also depends on type of school. MD's will generally have a home teaching hospital near their school that has all of your rotations. DO will usually send you to another town but most of your rotations will be at that site. Carribbean will ship you back to the US and all over the place (like multiple states).
