Just something I had heard from some admin at several rotations....
Men are clearly the minority in Dermatology both as established Dermatologists and in the last few residency cycles...
The question...
Is there going to be preferential dare I say "affirmative action" practices in attempting to gain a 50:50 male to female ratio as seen in other overly one sided specialties (Men in Ob/Gyn, Women in Surgery, Women in Neurosurgery)?
Again this is based on things I have heard from attendings at some Ivies and non Ivy Derm Departments
