Right now, i am in undergradin college with a degree in business. I was planning on taking most of my pre req this summer and fall with about on class going in the spring. My question is this, should i still apply this fall or wait a whole year before applying again. I've been debating this and part of me wants to rish through to get everything done. What does everyone think of this plan? Anyone in a similar situation? How long did it take you guys who dib't have science majors to complete pre reqs?

How many pre-reqs do you need? And how many would you be able to fit in each semester?

i'm trying to think of a good strategy is i were to hurry my pre req. This is one of my strategies for a semester.

Summer 1: Physics I & A&P I

Summer 2: Physics II & Chem I

Fall: Chem II

A&P II

one Psychology

Statistics

Spring: Another Psychology

(i've asked a few school and they said even though it might weaken my application a bit they would allow me to still pursue one class, but this is only one school that i am applying to that wants another psychology.

I'm not sure about your schools but mine wont have A&P II and CHEM II in the fall. You might have to wait till the spring.

Why not separate the Chem II and A&P? Why not separate the load, so you can focus on getting the best possible grades.

Why are you in such a hurry? Wouldn't you rather take your time and get good grades than rush everything and get average and/or not-so-great grades?

And you mentioned that some schools said it would weaken your application, so why rush? The competition to get into PT school is getting fiercer every year. You don't want anything that is going to weaken your application. Take your time.

The load is doable. I am currently taking physic 2, Chem 2, anatomy, physiology, and one English class right now. I am maintaining an A in all five of my classes. I won't lie, it is damn hard and I study 24/7 but it will be worth it. I agree cheerokewhaine, It is safer to spread things out but I can also say it is doable to take those classes in that short amount of time. I was a student who never studied in high school and college. I picked up these study habits because I know for a fact I want to be a PT. If you have the will, you will find a way. Good luck with everything 🙂

Thanks everyone, like what was said above, this is tough but I do have a drive to be a physical therapist. I'm going to try my hardest over this next year.
