Rutgers dental school waitlist

Hey guys!
I was notified on December 1st from Rutgers that I have been waitlisted. I was wondering if anyone knew what the chances of getting into Rutgers upon being waitlisted was? My stats are 21 RC 21 PAT 21 GEN CHEM 20 BIO 20 ORGO 19 QR. sgpa is 3.68 ogpa is 3.71. Thanks and good luck to everyone!

Hey man! I was interviewed on 10/16 and I thought it went well. The faculty and staff were really nice. Is Rutgers your top choice too?

I too was wait listed and felt the interview went well. Can't win them all. Rutgers historically does not have much movement on the wait list. They are the the only dental school in New Jersey, relatively affordable tuition, and close to NYC. Most accepted will attend especially those from New Jersey and New York. I'm not expecting to make it off the wait list at Rutgers. Where you accepted elsewhere?

Makes sense if you didn't interview well.

@tooth wizard Keep your head up high and stay optimistic. I know plenty of students who got off the waiting list and they had their interviews way later than yours. @BetaHelix Not sure where you're getting your information from...... Every year is different there is no way to determine what your actual chances are of getting in or not.

Hey! Thanks for the reply. I did not get accepted yet to anywhere else so far. Just a waitlist from NYU and an intereiw with Maryland and Touro. I'm still waiting to hear back from them.

Yeah, I sent a thank you note I think the day after my interview to Dr. Chaviano. and also sent a letter of intent two weeks ago

I have been checking like crazy at the interview/acceptance forum and it seems that nobody has gotten off the waitlist yet 🙁

would be great to know if they anticipate any movement in the coming weeks since people have been letting go of spots

agreed -- but some HAVE -- so hoping that number has reached the point where they can let waitlisters in!

The waitlist could be 100 people, and no one knows where they are on the list, the odds have to be like >10% at this point

I just called them today and they said that their class is full currently and that there hasn't been much movement in the waitlist yet but that it's still early and I shouldn't lose hope yet.

Guys I have called, emailed, mailed, faxed, paged, blah blah blah!!,,, and still no movement!!!!..... been 6 months since my interview, and my interviewer assured me I'm beyond good! and I am still here waiting ...2nd deposits have all been secured too....smh.
