Rutgers MBS Dental Scholars Program Info

Hi guys,

I am second year dental student and I completed the Rutgers MBS program and I was just hoping to provide info to any students who are interested! I LOVED the program and truly believed it helped me get into dental school. It was difficult but I completed it in 1 year with a 3.94 GPA. I was able to take classes with dental students and prove that I had what it takes to ace dental school classes. I did research under Dr. Kadouri and was able to build a strong bond with him, allowing me to get a strong letter of recommendation from him. I also worked as a dental assistant for one of the faculty in his private practice during the weekends and got to see some interesting cases.

I just thought I would start this thread bc SDN provided me with so much info when I was looking into grad programs and I wanted to give back to the community! Please feel free to post on here or message me privately with any questions you have, and if you're in the program please feel free to ask for any class recommendations! 🙂

They have made this program alot harder lol. Only 1 person got a 4.0 GPA this year

Thats amazing wow! I was recently accepted and will most likely attend in the fall. I was curious how difficult it was to get the research position as well as more shadowing hours. I would really love to beef those two up particularly the research part.

what classes would you recommend to take during the first semester? Any classes that a not too exam heavy and easier to receive a good grade?

Hey guys,

With the program starting so soon, I'm a bit lost on what classes to take as a new student. I know we have to take some required classes but aside from those, do any Dental Scholars have recommendations based on what they took? Or have an old schedule to go off of?
