The Rutgers School of Dental Medicine - University Hospital has a one-year non-categorical Internship available in the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery beginning July 1, 2025. The program is designed to allow recent dental graduates or those completing a general practice residency to gain greater experience in Dentoalveolar Surgery and other hospital surgical activities. This is an excellent opportunity for those individuals who wish to apply for a residency position in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery the following year.
The Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Intern will participate in all aspects of the service, including:
- Dentoalveolar Surgery
- Ambulatory Anesthesia
- Trauma
- Orthognathic and Reconstructive Surgery
The salary is $73,133 (PGY-1) plus health and malpractice insurance, 4 weeks of paid vacation, and free meals while on-call.
