Hello everyone. Over the weekend, I had the honor of getting the opportunity for an interview with the people at Rutgers-South in December. I was wondering if anyone else on here got the same email. Also, maybe if anyone has already gone through an interview with them, what was it like/what things should I keep in mind/any tips or advice for those who have an upcoming interview with them.

Congrats on the interview!! I received an invite to an interview as well for December as well (the 6th, specifically), so we may be in the same group! haha It's a month out but I'm been anxious to get it over with. This whole process has been crazy!!

It was a panel interview format, two interviewers with six interviewees. There were only three questions posed to the group, since it does take some time to get to all interviewees. Their major questions were “active versus passive listening” and challenges in your life and what you did to overcome/learn from it. My group ran pretty late since each interviewer (including myself) had a lot to say in our responses as well as feedback/questions on each other’s responses.

This interview was fairly laid back. The interviewers did a great job of making us feel at ease and not make it seem like an audition. The questions were pretty straightforward, nothing out of the ordinary and unexpected.

After the interview, a few students took each group on a short tour of the campus (there really wasn’t much to see). Some of the your labs are located on other campuses, such as Camden and Stratford. The DPT program shares space with Camden County Community College, so keep that in mind.

Did they ask the classic "why PT" "why rutgers" questions?

I feel like they might not just because there’s so many of us and they only ask 3 apparently. BUT i’m definitely preparing for that question just incase
