RVU-CO Pros:
- longer established
- CO has major medical centers so possibility for better rotations
- competitive matches
RVU-CO Cons:
- for-profit school that owns a carib med school
- higher tuition (20k higher per year)
- cold weather
- higher COL
WCU pros:
- lower tuition
- closer to home (~7 hours)
- lower COL
WCU cons:
- rural area with high crime rate
- good match but not many competitive ones compared to RVU
I want to go where i have better chances of matching into higher end IM positions like at academic hospitals, but the cost of attending RVU is a major downside and not sure if its worth it. I chose WCU over several other schools but RVU has a really good reputation which is making me consider it.
