Has anyone dispensed Rybelsus yet? it's a new semaglutide tablet, only oral GLP-1 agonist on the market apparently and possibly to replace ozempic. Ozempic reimburses like crap. Pharmacy loses hundreds of dollars almost every time. Anyone know how Rybelsus is reimbursing?

Have had like 2 Rxs for rybelsus so far...PAs, no info on reimbursement currently. God damn does this one ever take up shelve space!

i admit these rybelsus are huge @ss boxes. dispense a couple 3mg one, just remember to counsel pt to take on empty stomach and if they don’t see much benefits with 3mg is because it’s meant to be titrated up.

Interestingly, just got one in right after I posted this. We lost $15 on optum claim...what an ahole. Not as bad i guess compared to Victoza. We were losing $150 on 90 day supply.... what kind of douchebaggary is this?

Have you tried 30 days? Got some HIV meds that we lose money on for 90 day but not 30

Yes, I've noticed that too on some meds but not on this. The loss does decrease little but still a pretty big loss.

I'll admit, I've been dreading this one coming out....the skepticism/hang-ups about the kinetics and technology needed ($$$) around overcoming GI degradation & popularity of avoiding parenteral admin (sigh and added promises of weight loss) is going to be nothing but PAs and a lot of potential compromised efficacy. Predicting its fate will be similar to both inhaled insulin attempts (too niche of a product, too much paperwork, already existing superior products, ultimately won't be prescribed regularly enough, etc.)
