I have my first interview coming up next week at San Antonio and was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to prepare or what types of questions to be ready for!

Thanks so much! Yikes...can't believe it's all starting so soon!! :xf::xf::xf:

I don't know but congrats...hopefully they get back with me. How long did it take after you got the notification of them getting your app did it take for an interview letter to come in?

I got it the same day. 🙂

Oh nice!!!! Beast it..just going in there and be you. I would read up on some current events in dentistry and get ready to talk about your desire to pursue this field!!! Congrats to you both!!!

Be prepared for ethical questions as well.

Do they still make your write an essay at the end??

I sent out my apps around Jun 20th but they didn't get all my letters until about July 3.

Don't worry! You're fine with those scores!

That's about when my app got sent out too, unfortunately one of my professors took FOREVER to write his letter and didn't get it in to TMDSAS until 7/30 🙁

What type of essay??

It's like a generic SAT prompt type essay .

IDK if it's the same prompt for each interview batch though?

I wouldn't want you to give the prompt, but what type essay was it? ethical/dental/interest?

and I am guessing they change it for each interview

It wasn't ethical or dental related. Just super broad like "give an example where bla bla bla happened to you" or something like that. It's a general "SAT" like prompt where you don't have to have any background knowledge or studying to answer it. Not hard or anything. They just want a writing sample I guess to compare to your personal statement to make sure you wrote it probably. haha 😉

They also gave a pretty good lunch so that's a plus! lol 👍

Yes it was pretty good.
