SAEM is in Chicago this spring ( and I am at a Chicago school)and I know they have a day for students, which is mainly focused for 3rd years. Would it be beneficial to pay dues and join so I can go to the whole meeting as a 4th year student?

Whether you go or not, I think you should join SAEM, ACEP, and AAEM. In the whole scheme of things, the money involved is very very little; and you are putting your first financial contributions towards the speciality you are planning on spending the rest of your life in....
