Just wanted to get opinions on leaving a certain 3-letter chain for a potential opportunity to work for Safeway in California. Just moved to this state & transferred in as PIC but I may have an opportunity at Safeway coming up. Should I burn the bridge?

How's Safeway to work for? Would love to get some feedback from RPh who work there on tech help, metrics, bonuses, salary, working conditions, extra tasks. Any info would be helpful as there really isn't much info on here or other forums.

I don't have much info for you on Safeway. I would suggest forming your own impression from your interactions with pharmacists when handling prescription transfers. If you notice that it takes you 20 minutes to reach a pharmacist at most locations, that's not a good sign. You could also get one of your prescriptions sent to a Safeway and go pick it up between 5 & 7 pm.

I'd probably just stick to the current job until you secure something much better unless the situation is impossible to deal with.

I don't know about Safeway either but whenever I shop there I do peek at the pharmacy. Busiest I've ever seen is 3 people in line and they never have less than 2 people back there with no drive through (usually about 4, 2 near closing). Things may vary by district though.

I work for the 3-letter chain you mentioned, and we also have a Safeway in town. Long story short, that store has gone downhill, and is quickly becoming a dumpster fire (or so I've been told by patients who transferred to us). Digsbe is right, each store for each chain is different.
