Salaries in Academic Derm

Hi Everyone,
I've seen the recent posts regarding derm salaries, but does anyone know from experience (or rumor) how much dermatologists who end up doing academics make? ie if you're spending approx 50% of your time in the lab and 50% seeing patients? Thanks!

Kind of depends on how much funding you are bringing in to the university you are working at.

you eat what you kill (although the university will take its share before you eat). you'll get paid your clinical FTE's for the patients you see. for your research time you are on your own. if you can get grants to support salary, you will get some salary. otherwise you work for free.
