Hello everyone. I have been reviewing this forum for a few weeks now and have found it extremely helpful, so thanks to everyone in advance for that.
My thread, unfortunatly is probably a question many of you have answered many times before. That is, I am stressed about my grades and am looking for some added confidence. However, don't think that I am confused on what I want to do the rest of my life, I am 100% sure that I WILL be a doctor, I just wanted to here if some of you have been in my position.
As of right now (end of sophomore year) I have an overall GPA of a little over a 3.1. My 1st semester of my sophomore year I kinf of screwed things up with a 2.93. This semester I was able to get it up to a 3.54. I had a 3.27 both semesters of my freshman year and got C's and C+'s in Organic Chem over the summer. I plan on graduating with a major in Bio with a Chem minor. Sorry this turned out so long but I just tried to fit my college grades in a nutshell. Has anyone here been in my position and made it into med school. I just need someone to help relate to!!! Thanks again.

As to your situation. I would suggest you work hard to keep showing an upward trend in your grades. Bad semesters do happen. Just don't let it happen again. You can't get any more C's between now and graduation or your GPA may not be able to recover. I had one bad semester and it was amazing how long it took to get my GPA up. But I was never able to get it back up to the place where it was before that semester.

Can you get into medical school with a few bad grades.........the answer is yes.

Will it make things harder to get in................The answer is yes. You will have to make sure the rest of your application is great. Good luck
