anyone have a good sample of a LOE written by a dentist? i searched google and cant find anything. my dentist would like a sample of what to write and I'm not really sure what goes into the the dentist LOE other than i shadowed him and watched procedures. how would i make it not sound like my PS?

simply put, there is no single template to use. and if there is then it probably could be a million times better if you wrote one yourself. LOE's from dentists should be tailored to your own experience at the clinic. I mean how boring would it be if everyone's LOE from dentists said
"so and so shadowed/interned/assisted at my clinic in _______ for (this duration). I found that he/she was (insert lauds here). (More BS) (More BS) I think that (name here) would be an excellent candidate for dental school and the dental profession."

It really works best if you sit down and write it yourself from scratch. Try to word it in a way that your dentist would and in a fashion that would seem appropriate to the ADCOMS. Try to include specific situations (without violating HIPPA of course). Dont be too bashful when praising yourself. If your dentist feels that something should be changed, then they can edit it themselves.
