Hi guys, I have just did a rough draft on the LOR my boss asked me to write for him. Any comments on how dental school would look at this.. Thanks in advance....

This letter is written at the request of Mr. Alan GETIN and is in strong support of his application for admission to your Dental school. As Alan’s employer for the last year plus, I consistently found him to be skilled, enthusiastic and conscientious

I met Alan through another employee, Alan’s supervisor, of mine. Alan was hired as an intern who was showing great interest in human health related subjects. As an intern he was put on a retrospective study which is a review on the subject of metallic stents being put in patients with stenosis in their lungs or trachea. With the three month period of interning, Alan showed his skills on adaptation and learning capabilities. I was amazed on his ability to establish good relationships with his fellow intern and employees of mine, and his willingness to help and teach new interns greatly increase our rate in accomplishing the STENT benign stenosis study that he and fellow interns were put on. Furthermore, he showed great commitment and work ethics led him to become a person who will not leave anything not finish before leaving. I was so pleased with Alan that after his internship quarter was over, I decided on hiring Alan as a Junior specialist to increase my working force and a greater success in future studies.

When Alan was a Junior Specialist he continued to show great enthusiasm toward his work. He was first put on to help his coworkers in running studies involving patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Pulmonary Fibrosis. After a few months Alan was put in charge to run two new studies, VISION and COMPASS 2 both sponsored by Actelion Pharmaceutical Inc., and both studies are to enroll patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.
Along with his own study, he also helped out with one of his coworker’s patient in the PIPF 004 study. Alan helped on pharmacokinetics visit in the PIPF 004 which involves seeing the patient and bringing them to draw blood every 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hour, 4 hour, and 6 hour after patient have taken the drug. During the patient visits Alan showed great communication skills while talking to patients, all of the PIPF 004 patients were very happy to see Alan and willing to open up to him. He is well organized and can think fast on his feet, because he understand that I am very busy throughout the day he will plan everything ahead and if my schedule changes he will change his schedule to make it fit mine so that everyone will be pleased. The paperwork I have to sign and exams that I have to perform on each patient is always prepared for me in easy to follow steps when see a patient.
After a year I was disappointed to hear that Alan will be resigning, but I understand very well that his great interest is in dentistry and needs to continue his education. I am confident that Alan will get into dental school; but more importantly, I am confident that Alan will become a great dentist and friend. I would hope to have him be my family dentist in the future. As such, I highly recommend Alan to you with no reservations.

Alan began as an intern with a great interest in human health related subjects but within three months he accepted a permanent position. He conducted retrospective study investigating the medical efficacy of metallic stents implanted in patients with stenosis in the lungs or trachea. Alan displayed his ability to quickly learn complex materials. Alan also impresses me in his ability to establish good relationships with interns and colleagues, and his ability to train new interns greatly increases the quality of our research. Furthermore, Alan shows commitment to excellence and a work ethic which allows him to consistently outshine his peers.

As a Junior Specialist he initially assisted in running studies involving patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension and Pulmonary Fibrosis. After a few months Alan directed two new studies, VISION and COMPASS 2 both sponsored by industry. Both studies enroll patients with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension.

While I am disappointed to hear that Alan will resign, I understand his great interest is in dentistry. I am confident Alan's dental school class will benefit from his presence and I am confident that Alan will become an excellent dentist. I hope to have him as my family dentist in the future. I strongly recommend Alan without reservation.
