where can I get SAR transaction report to send to fee reduction program?

go to fafsa.ed.gov and call their toll free number to request it by mail. This is the only form that AADSAS accepts. It takes about 7-14 days to receive it too! You may have to request an extension from AADSAS for the FRP.

man...I didn't know that my deadline for fee reduction was already over. I can't believe they didn't send me any mail saying that i need to submit my documents.
Anyway, when I called them, they said it's ok to go to FAFSA and print it out so I decided to just print it instead of requesting the official one that takes 1~2 weeks.
I am about to send it with expensive overnight express mail XD. I hope they don't say hey we only accept official copy from FAFSA.

Thats funny because in their directions on the fee reduction program link, it says it needs to be from the department of education, which comes through fafsa. It says you cannot print out the summary available to you. Well, if they say you can, go with it! Yeah they dont send you an email at all. Nowhere in the directions does it say anything about a 14 day deadline, in fact, if you read the directions it says everything must be due by October 15 or something and then when they receive it they just update it on that section, saying you have 14 days to get everything in, otherwise it will be denied! They dont even send you an email. For trying to help students out, they aren't making it very easy on you!

So did you get to send your official FAFSA report to them?
I just spent $13 to send the unofficial one to them overnight and I will be so mad if they don't accept the unofficial one 🙁 because a lady told me that I can go to FAFSA website and get it.

Yeah I called the head of the FRP program, and told them that the department of education just told me it would be up to 14 days to receive my official SAR by mail. She gave me an extension and I got everything in on time anyways. It was recently approved.

AHHHHHHH What???? I hit submit 3 days ago.. and i was going to slowly get my stuff together lol.. I only have 14 days to get everything together???? I'm calling FAFSA now.. report report report. My fee reduction status hasn't even changed yet.. still no new update 🙁.. Ah i'm so confused 🙁. Should i call for an extension too?

I think it's impossible to submit FAFSA SAR report without extension, LOL. They give u 14 days but that's how long it takes for FAFSA to send SAR report to you so you got like less than 24 hrs to forward it to fee reduction program unless you extend it 😀.

I just sent W2, 1040, and unofficial SAR report with overnight shipping but now that I read the rule that says don't send unofficial, I guess it means I got screwed unless I can extend it for another 2 weeks.

Where does it say that the deadline is over? I though it said the deadline was until October 2009.. Am I wrong?

I just got rejected, but she extended it to July 30th. She forgot to extend mine yesterday 🙁

I confirmed AGAIN that we can get sar report from FAFSA website.

I called FAFSA and asked them how I can get it and they told me to go to 3rd column and click on SAR transaction report. but then Fee Reduction program lady told me that's not the one, that's the summary and she doesn't want that.

I called FAFSA again to ask if that's the summary and they said no, that's not the summary that IS the transaction report.

so I was like...errrr whatever...just send me the official copy of transaction report, but then he said it will be exact same as what she called summary...XD

you can get a complete pdf of your SAR on the FAFSA website. go to print summary and download the PDF file. FRPAADSAS accepted this form and didnt say anything about it.

anyone else having trouble getting in contact with the fee reduction program office? argg theyre not replying to any of my emails and i have to confirm that they got my w-2 by 7/23. so annoying that they're not accepting phone calls anymore

They received everything August 18th and I received an email this morning telling me that I had been approved! So it was a VERY quick turn around. If you feel as if you qualify I say apply for it because it does help!!

How long did it take you from the last email until you received the actual check in the mail? I received an email from FRP on 8/25 stating how much I'd get back but haven't received the check yet 🙁 I'm getting a little worried now......

I received my check last week (I think it was last Monday or Tuesday) but according to the website it was mailed out on the 27th. So it was a very quick turn around. So I would think that yours should be on the way soon.🙂

I forgot to add that the check was requested to be processed on 8/20 and they didn't mail it out until an entire week later (8/27). Also, the Labor Day holiday may be slowing down the process as well.

This process is pretty confusing...So they will accept the summary report printed from fafsa website?
