Hello,

I'm going to do SAT Lit soon, but I'm getting around 680. Anyone know how to improve? I'm planning to do a lot of questions, but other than that, I don't know what to do.

And does anyone know good sites for studying SAT Bio?

the same methods of studying for SAT II lit are the methods for studying for SAT I reading comprehension section. I would suggest to go..... read some lit.

Thanks. What kind of books would be good, since I have little time?

Classics are probably a good place to start. Also, try anything that will make you think differently and view the world or at least a certain topic in a different way.

I guess you're taking it in October.

What really helped me was doing a LOT of practice from the College Board SAT book although I only took the SAT I.

Have you done AP Eng (The one with the rhetorical analysis)? If you have, just go over your notes from last year and try to do a bunch of rhetorical analysis stuff. It really helps you to recognize subtle things in passages.

If not, just order one of the subject test practice books from College Board's website.

Yep, coming up soon!

Um, College Board SAT book , as in the one for SAT I?

No, havn't done that. I didn't know there's subject test practice books from College Board - for AP or SAT subject? Because I can't find it? I see only a combined book with one test for each subject test...

Yup. The book for the SAT I. On second thought, forget my recommendation for getting the SAT II book. I was under the impression that it contained more than 1 practice test.

I just used the 2010 Princeton Review book to prepare for the test. Well, I was also taking an AP Bio class, and since the two overlap, it helped me out a lot, but the Princeton Review book was very helpful. You should buy it or at least borrow a previous year's copy from a friend. I got an 800, so it works. 😀
