I was just wondering what the SAT scores were in this group? For those of you who are getting interviews or got really great scores on the DAT.. what are your SAT scores? (if you dont mind posting them ). I was just curious to know.

Hmm... I don't see how the SAT is relevant when applying to D-School.

Kinda of seems petty to attach something like that. Makes your app look juvenile. I dunno just my opinion.

I also did well (1490), but I think your DAT score will speak for itself.

I also think there is a correlation btw SAT's and DAT's, since the reading and math part for both exams are almost identical.

Maybe you're right but I think I might include it anyways because I am Canadian..so they might like to see my english score 720 just in case because I'm an international applicant.

I dunno it wasn't good enough for scholarships of any type so i would just call it average.

I got a 1390 on my SAT's the first time i took it a 800 in math and 590 in english. Did very poorly in english, it has never been my strong suit anyway.

I think the idea of this thread was to see if a correlation exists btwn SAT and DAT scores. If you have not already done so, please post both.
I had a crazy low SAT (sub 1000) and scored 20 across the board on the DAT.

I think there was definitely a correlation between my SAT & DAT scores. Both were pretty average.

2nd SAT: 1190

My math score was pretty weak as I recall - my verbal score was rather high and that helped. I didn't study at all and thought the test was a big nuisance.

Some schools, e.g. Arizona, will ask for you ACT and SAT scores - regardless of how old they are.

i do think the two scores are related, because when you look at the breakdowns of scores, almost all of my sections corresponded, for example on the act my verbal was 33 and on dat it was 25 (my highest scores on both tests) but for math, act was like 24 and dat was 17 (lowest on both tests). the tests are common in that in both of them your knowledge counts for 70% and just being a good standardized test taker/ performing well under pressure counts for 30% in my opinion.

Yeah ACT is what i took for univ., Sat was just for no reason i guess. I can see how the math correlates to DAT QA, as i would imagine that they are similar. Got 36 on math part, 35 on science but 21 on verbal. DAMN, i guess i better work on the verbal.

It's a full standard deviation and some change above the average, which puts you at about the 85%ile or so. Maybe it's not superhuman, but it's definitely a good score.

My DAT scores were
AA 24/PAT19
My RC score was 27.

I was asked about the big gap between my SAT verbal score and my DAT RC score at one of the interviews. SAT was taken right after I came to US(SAT VERBAL WAS SO HARD!!!), and DAT was taken 10+ years since then.

as far as arizona goes they do not use act/sat to determine whether you will get a interview or not. atleast they are not part of the satistics they tally... they may be used as some sort of tie breaker but i am just guessing on that.

stop fretting over the sats, they're in the past.

imo, it seems juvenile of the schools to be asking about your sats. some people just need to move along, we're not in high school anymore. reminds me of the awful times in high school when kids would have penis wars over who had the highest sats. move on! your dats, gpa, and extracurrs should say more than enough about your post-high schoold days.
