When we send SAT scores to colleges, the first four is free. Do we send each score to the colleges? Like let's say I want to go to UCB. I send the scores to UCB. Then my other scores to UCB. And then my sat II scores to UCB? Three separate times, with three separate payments? That's alot of money.. o.o

Or do we send it ONCE and everything is sent?

IIRC, all your past scores up until when you send them will show up. So if you took the SAT in March and then in May and sent them in May your March scores will also show up. But if you take it again in October and don't send anything colleges will not see that October score unless you re-send.

This may have changed since last year since there is the new policy of being able to choose which past SAT scores you want to show.

I printed out a "Your SAT Score report order invoice" and it showed the colleges (four that I chose) with all my test scores under it.

So for one test, I send scores for four colleges. On the other, can I send scores to four DIFFERENt colleges - yet they will all get the scores?

Depends on when you send the scores.

Here's a possible scenario:
SAT Take #1. Free score reporting used up to colleges A, B, C, D.
SAT Take #2. Free score reporting also used up, this time to schools E, F, G, H.

EFGH will see scores from both take 1 and 2. ABCD will only see take 1.

Ah, I see. So it's best to take advantage of the four free scores but for the four colleges that it was sent to, I have to send them scores again or they won't see SAT Take #2?

I'm taking the SAT IIs this upcoming October, and the SATs in November. This scoring/sending is confusing, but thanks for clearing it up! 🙂

Ughhh...just thinking about then trouble I had with all this gives me a headache.

I know, right? I'm still confused about who I should send the scores to, and whether I'll need to re-send it in the future if I happen to take more tests. And the fees?

I'll have to see my counselor ASAP. T_____T

Just so you know guys... when I applied I thought that I had to send score reports to every college I applied to. But I started noticing that when I checked some statuses online they said they already had my SAT scores even though I never sent them. Turns out that my SATs were listed on my hs transcript and that was considered official enough.
