Satsistics course important?

Hey guys. I was looking at the list of course requirements for each school and while some schools say statistics is required, others just mention 1 qtr/1 sem. I was wondering if that means that it is also required? That really confused me and got me worried since I did not take stats and was planning on applying for the 2011-2012 cycle. im pretty sure you need stats, or some schools i think its a year of math possibly without stats... what schools specifically are you applying to? might want to wait for more answers as im only sure about the schools i want to go to

Though some schools require taking a stats class, it is NOT a must in optometry school. The closest you get to statistics is in a Health/Epidemiology course where you need to know the fundamental basics..but nothing you couldn't pick up without having stat's under your belt. In my undergrad Bio Stats was a requirement for the degree. I wouldn't lose sleep over it but you should speak with a school counselor to see what they suggest.
