How do you all treat scabies? Standard for topical medication is to apply from the neck down. As pods is this OK? Do you go with oral instead? Or refer to pcp?
Upon diagnosis of scabies I immediately run out of the treatment room screaming at the top of my lungs straight to the secretary to have the patient referred to their PCP.
Then I spend the rest of the day nervously itching at my body.

Don't forget to have the room locked down afterwards, towel across the door, stat call to facilities to get the room cleaned asap. Complain bitterly to the nursing staff about how behind we'll be while updating their problem list. Refuse to shake hands with anyone for the rest of the day. Make me... err resident see everyone.
