Hey there,

First off, I'll start off with a little bit about my situation so maybe some context can be garnered. I am a 22 year old community college Pre-Med student hoping to transfer to UCD (I live in Sacramento) in about 3 years. I have a cumulative GPA of 3.182, I am in my fourth semester of community college and have completed around 30 units. In High School, I was insanely depressed due to issues I won't go into at the risk of sounding like a broken record player, and did not try at all in my math or science courses. I could not pass Algebra with anything higher than a D.

Come Community College, my act has cleaned up somewhat, and I've gotten out of Algebra 2 with a B. My current math class is College Geometry, which I am struggling in because I have shifted from a diurnal work schedule to a nocturnal one (I live by myself and work at a gas station to pay rent while receiving financial aid for tuition via the BOG waiver) and I've simply found it hard to adjust. I also feel like I am littering myself with distraction after distraction, and I still have some issues I need to work out from High School. Simply put, my focus is shot, and my grades on the tests in the class don't go any higher than the high 70s. We currently have two more tests out of four, plus a final that is worth twice what a test is.

I have considered simply withdrawing, but the issue here is that I have already done this 4-5 times during my academic career so far. Here is a transcript for a better idea;

What do I do? I feel exhausted and broken in spirit, do I withdraw from this class and take some time away? I have all of my classes for next semester all set up, so I would have to cancel the math class that comes after this one too, leaving me with 8 credits for that semester.

If a 3.2 is all you can manage with 6 Ws, I can't recommend that you think about med school at this time. I'm sorry, OP, but you need to work on your academics and any personal problems that may be holding you back.

If you can get a year of 3.7 in med school pre-requisite courses, you'll be in much better shape.

If you can get a year of 3.7 in med school pre-requisite courses, you'll be in much better shape.
