Does anyone know how Schaums bio is? I heard it was good but want to double check before I run out to Barnes and Noble/

I purchased it today and have mixed feelings about it. I feel like it has a lot of information but irrelevant things at the same time? Haha if that makes sense. Its small too, like a pamphlet. I am thinking about returning it and puchasing an MCAT bio book. But I have heard good things about Schaums. **** I just dont know haha. Also, I bought the second edition.

someone on this forum that already took the DAT said the bio section was comparable to Schaums...out of the ordinary. I have the book and i use it to touch up on my weakest areas .

Do you know what edition? Also, does anyone have any recommendations on what MCAT bio books are helpful?

I take back my thrashing of Schaums haha. I went back to Barnes and Noble and purchased the last copy of their third addition It looks very promising.

I am going to tell you right now that MCAT BIO books will NOT help you in any way what so ever.

Your ultimate and last resource should be campbells since it is the haystack that contains every single needle that you could be possibly looking for.

And why wouldn't an MCAT bio book help? I am just curious. Also, I have campbells seventh edition from when I took bio. The thing is massive and I am more than sure that Schaum's will be taking its place. If anything, I like to refer to campbell to do the problems at the end of each chapter.
