i've signed up for May 2013's MCAT (I know it's early), and I will be applying June of 2014 for August 2015 Matriculation. This means that my MCAT score is over 2 years before date of matriculation but only barely over one year before date of application.

i have two concerns:

1) are there med schools that require the MCAT be within 2 yrs of the date of matriculation? This means if I intend to enter August of 2015, the earliest MCAT score I can have is August 2013, which will present a problem. However, i am aware that most schools accept scores within a 3-yr range

2) if i dont get in 2014 and apply again in 2015...do i have to take the NEW MCAT, or will my old exam still suffice? Most schools accept scores within three years of the date of APPLICATION, but since the new MCAT comes out in 2015...is it possible that i have to take that even when my old score is still within the expiration date?

I plan on studying rigorously from now to mid May, so I really dont want to retake the MCAT unless i score poorly.

I appreciate any info!
