Hello.
I am preparing to take the DAT right now and plan to apply to schools this year as soon as possible.

At the current pace/schedule I will be ready to take the DAT early to mid march.
Even though I would love to take it once and be done with it, it's likely that I would want to retake it. I know to retake, i have to wait at least 3 months before I could retake it.
Now, in the case that I do want to retake it, the earliest date I would be able to retake it will be mid June.

Timing seems to work out just right but... I am unsure if I should push my first DAT date back a little bit to give myself bit more time to prepare.

Please give me your thought. Anything that I have not considered. Any input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your help👍

It seems you and I are in the same boat! i plan on start studying within the next 2-3 days and currently im very scared and not sure what and how to start studying, but ive been reading these forums for more information as to how i can go about starting.

Currently i have the Kaplan Blue book and the Cliff AP biology book to help me out and i plan on following the 8 week schedule thats posted up over here but i dont have all of the materials that the guide insist we use so i am stumped at that....besides for that if you dont mind me asking you, what books/materials are you using in preparting for the DAT?

cool. I just finished going through gen chem and ochem. Going over it, I thought it wasn't too difficult just that when applying what I thought I understood to answer question in a very short time...I feel like I need practice.

I am going to follow the same 8 week schedule that is posted and hopefully do well.

Are you planning to take it twice? applying this year?

Good luck!!!

Any thoughts on my plans? Does it look good? Will I have enough time to take the dat second time and apply early?
