Hey everyone, with II coming for some of the earlier schools, along with getting one myself, I was curious on y'alls opinion for when to schedule. This being potentially my first interview, but for a higher-tier school, I was wondering whether I should do it early in hopes of having one down, or wait until I (hopefully) have more interviewing experience under my belt. For your more important interviews, did you guys schedule them later or earlier? If this has been asked before please feel free to link the thread, I couldn't find it though.

The earlier the better! The key to being ready is practicing. Practice in the mirror. See if anyone is willing to give you a mock interview and check SDN Interview feedback for school specific questions.

Interviewing as early as possible generally puts you at an advantage, particularly if admissions are "rolling."

If a school is non-rolling, I would assume that they’re still making tentative admissions decisions behind the scenes as they go along, right? If true, that would suggest you still benefit from early interviews at those schools as well.

Yep. I agree.

Thanks yall. Didn't have much of an option either, all the dates were for August LOL. It is a rolling, I will make sure to practice beforehand for sure.

This is very early! Congrats! I thought mine were early. (I got 3 II the last week of July), but anyway, I would schedule as early as possible baring your 100% ready and prepared. Unfortunately, you are not in the clear. A good Friend of mine interviewed the first week of August too and didn’t get any acceptances and is reapplying next year. This is a great sign though nevertheless. But remember, don’t get caught up in the timing. Make sure you can kick butt during the interview.

Getting an II this early means you have a very strong app. The interview may be more about them trying to impress you than the other way around. Either way, good luck! I'm sure you will be fabulous.
That would be pretty crazy if that was the case. Thanks so much though!!
