Hey y'all... I just have a quick question about classes for next semester. I first want to give you a quick background, though. I applied this cycle, but am not confident so I def plan on reapplying in June. I graduated with a BS Biology in May, and started a MS Physiology in August. My GPAs (as on AADSAS) include: BCP 2.8, sGPA 2.8, oGPA 3.0. These are all obviously very low, but I have been coming back from a 2.1, and have an average GPA of 3.75 my last 40 credits. My first year of graduate classes I earned a 3.8. I have already chosen 10 graduate credits for the spring, but want to take one more to help raise my sGPA and BCP to a 3.0 before I reapply. My DAT scores are 20, 20. I want to pick up a really easy physics or bio course to help raise my GPA, even though it obviously wouldn't count for my Master's. My question is this: I can take a level one physics course, and it would still count for my sGPA and BCP, correct? For example, one class I am looking at is PHY 124 (Solar System Astronomy). It sounds interesting, easy, and I think I would do well. This would still count, right? Would it look bad if I take such a low-level course? It even says in the course objectives that it is meant primarily for non-science majors. Since it is still in the Physics subject, it is a BCP and sGPA class, right? It has taken me forever to get my GPA close to 3.0 since I now have taken 112 science credits in the last 5 years. Sorry this ended up being long, but any help would be amazing! Thanks everyone.. 🙂
