schmoozing for fellowships

It only took me 7 days of OB/GYN rotation (first of third year) to know that pathology is the best field ever, and that clinical medicine really does suck. I want to do a fellowship, and I know the best way to get into a competitive fellowship is to do residency where they offer that fellowship so you can get in with the home crowd by doing research etc. It would be great to go to MGH, Brigham, Michigan. . . but they don't offer Dermpath fellowships, for example. Don't want to lose fellowship possibilities by going to sweet residency programs. What's your take?

Michigan will probably have a dermpath fellowship in the next couple of years anyway. They're just trying to organize it now.

Damn dermpath. I almost wish we weren't getting a dermpath fellowship, now all the ****ing gunners are going to show up.
