Hello,

I was wondering if many schools offer scholarship/aid if accepted? Or do you have to apply for it after acceptance? I'm wondering if anyone knows a ball park of how much money this is? And how competitive it is--essentially only for the top students? Thank you.

From what I understand, most schools offer some scholarships of varying amounts. This is typically dependent on your stats, so yes, it is competitive. I know at RSO, the financial aid office automatically reviews your file once you are offered acceptance. You can go ahead and submit your FAFSA to schools prior to acceptance- this will get the ball rolling so that once you are accepted, they have your information and can begin processing loan information.

Let's also not fail to mention that there's generally more money available if you're a minority population.

There's very limited funds for entering students.
Usually a handful of scholarships for early applicants and minority populations. It's much easier to apply for scholarships later on while you're in school through AAO or extracurricular/merit based
