Scholarship sources--not need based

I check out fastweb.com to find scholarships, but it's garbage at finding scholarships and mostly just pushes the army/navy scholarships on me. Any sources for outside scholarship searches? Like essay based, or for particular ethnicities, etc? The cost of med school is starting to hit me and I'll take anythin I can get.

I haven't found anything to be useful other than Google. Just search for any permutation of "scholarship", ____ ethnicity, ____ race, _____ special interests, etc. You might find stuff you qualify for.

I wrote an essay to the National Arab American Medical Association (found through fastweb). I got a $2000 scholarship for my freshman year.

Unless you get lucky or are part of some ethnic group, you aren't going to get anything.
