Scholarships at Texas Medical Schools?

Does anyone know whether or not it is common to receive scholarships at Texas public medical schools, and if so, which institution is most known for that? I have a friend who received a scholarship for 75% tuition at Texas Tech El Paso. Just wondering if anyone had other experiences like that.

I was awarded a $10k/year scholarship to UTSW. My best friend was awarded $15k. I have no idea how common it is at other schools. For reference we were both IS and he's a URM.

I know that 6 (maybe more) of the TMDSAS schools offered scholarships of various amounts this cycle. And like tn4596 said, TX med schools are already some of the most inexpensive schools in the country.
